Celebrating 30 Years of the Foundation of the Margaret Beaufort Institute

We invite you to join us in this, the final event in our Pearl Anniversary calendar celebrating 30 years since the foundation of the Margaret Beaufort Institute. The evening will begin with a keynote lecture to be given by Baroness Julie Smith of Newnham which will be followed by celebratory drinks and a hot buffet supper. We will close the year with an invitation to join us for the Office of Compline (Vigil of the Immaculate Conception of the BVM) led by Dr Gemma Simmonds, CJ (Director of the Religious Life Institute, Margaret Beaufort Institute) in the College Chapel.

Date: 7th December 2023 (Vigil of the Immaculate Conception)

Time: 4.30 to 8.30 pm

Place: St Edmunds College (Garden Room & College Chapel)

Agenda: 4.30 pm refreshments; 5.00 pm Keynote lecture Faith in Politics by Baroness Julie Smith; 6.00 pm Celebratory hot buffet supper; 7:45 pm: the anniversary year will close with Compline in the Chapel led by Dr Gemma Simmonds, CJ.

Tickets: We ask for a £15 voluntary contribution to help cover costs but with the option to contribute £0 or more. Please be advised that tickets are issued individually. Should you require additional tickets, kindly proceed to replicate the process. We appreciate your cooperation.
