Study Day: Sophia
Who is Sophia? Sophia-Wisdom is one of the most fascinating and universally attractive figures in the Bible, but she has been neglected. In this course we rediscover Sophia in Scripture, Christian tradition and mysticism. In particular we will examine her connection with the Holy Spirit, feminine images of God and the Virgin Mary, and the rich ecumenical potential of this largely forgotten strand of theology.
