Dr Matthew Mills

Visiting Lecturer

Matthew is a theologian and church historian within the Catholic tradition.

He has held lectureships in Theology and Medieval Studies at the University of Oxford, where he remains a Senior Member of Regent’s Park College. In 2020, he was also elected to membership of the Senior Common Room at St Chad’s College, Durham.

Matthew’s research encompasses studies of moral concepts – including victimhood, satisfaction, and forgiveness – as well as the Virgin Mary, monasticism, and the theology of St Anselm.
