Dr Melanie – Préjean Sullivan

Visiting Lecturer

Melanie currently serves as an independent Inter-Spiritual chaplain and as a visiting lecturer for MBIT on topics of liturgy, spirituality, church history, and Jewish-Catholic dialogue.   She has recently completed a collection of essays entitled “Songs of a Mystic Peregrine.” It is both a memoir of and a handbook for discerning answers to life’s ultimate questions with highlights of her experiences with people of all faiths and none, especially from nearly 20 years of chaplaincy in a Catholic university.  She also teaches for the Louisville, Kentucky branch of the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning (of Hebrew University, Jerusalem). Her first ministry publication was a curriculum guide for teaching discernment.  Since her retirement from campus ministry in 2018, she has been published in the journal of the British-Irish Association of Practical Theology (BIAPT) and is preparing an article for the journal of the World Congress of Faiths, to be published in 2022.
