Dr Valentin Gerlier

Research Associate

Scholar and musician, Valentin is Lecturer in Theology and Ethics at the University of Chester, a tutor and member of the academic board of the Temenos Academy, and also teaches Shakespeare at the Institute of Continuing Education, Cambridge. His book Shakespeare and the Grace of Words: Theology, Language, Metaphysics  (Routledge) is Forthcoming in 2022.

His current research project explores the metaphysics and poetics of the pre-modern natura tradition and the relationship between imagination and contemplation as spiritual responses to contemporary ecological challenges.
