Many are familiar with the story of Joseph thanks to childhood storybooks and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, but few may have studied this fascinating text in detail.
This short 4-week course offers an opportunity to read the narrative in full, from an adult perspective. Discover a literary masterpiece, a work of psychological insight, an essential bridge between the Patriarchs and the Book of Exodus, and an understanding of how God works in mysterious ways.
Week 1: Genesis 37; 39 – 41
Week 2: Genesis 42 – 45
Week 3: Genesis 46 – 50
Week 4: The Women in Joseph’s Narrative – Tamar (Genesis 38); Potiphar’s Wife (Genesis 39); Asenath, Joseph’s Wife (Genesis 41); Women of Jacob’s family (Genesis 46)
This is one of two courses running one after the other. Please also see the four week course on Luke 6-9: Education for Discipleship by Dr Sean Ryan from 8th October – 29th October.
