Childhood and Contemporary Catholicism describes the significance of Catholicism in the lives of children, both Catholic and non-Catholic. By talking to children and young people, as well as educational professionals in many countries Gerard Lemos uncovered the diverse profundities of their spiritual, family and community lives.
He argues that growing up in the challenging modern world is greatly enhanced by encounters with Catholic faith and practice in education, parish life, youth work, pilgrimages, monastic retreats and religious art and music.
This book will help Catholic professionals everywhere to reflect on, and strengthen their work with children, young people and parents.
