On Thursday, March 20, the Margaret Beaufort Institute held its Annual General Meeting in their new location at Woolf Institute; it was a moment to reflect on our achievements and reaffirm our commitment to our mission. The meeting highlighted the range of courses and events offered over recent months (August to March), demonstrating our ongoing dedication to academic and spiritual formation.
A key moment of the gathering was the testimony of student Jane Crone, who shared her personal journey and the impact of her studies within our community. We also had the opportunity to learn more about the work of our alumnae through the Margaret Beaufort Association, which continues to foster prayer gatheringsĀ and meaningful initiatives, like a pilgrimage to York which will take place in October 2025.
The reports from our trustees and council members were presented by Chair of Trustees, Claire Daunton, offering valuable insights into the governance and strategic direction of the Institute. We are pleased to report that our financial standing is strong, with carefully managed investments that align with Catholic values and a recent positive audit report. In addition, all the courses we have offered have been met with enthusiastic participation, reflecting a growing interest in our academic and theological programmes.
Above all, the success of the Margaret Beaufort Institute is made possible by the dedication of our staff, the commitment of our students and research associates, and the generosity of our wider community. We extend our deepest gratitude to our trustees, council members, students, researchers, alumnae, friends, and donors. Your continued support and engagement are invaluable to our mission.
